History Park is located at the south end of Kelley Park at the corner of Senter Road and Phelan Avenue. Through 32 original and reproduction homes, businesses, and landmarks, History Park reveals Santa Clara Valley’s past. Complete with paved streets, running trolleys, and an old-fashioned ice cream shop, this 14-acre site offers the charm and ambiance of times gone by.
The Park is open for outdoor enjoyment 7 days a week, 9 am – 4 pm, except for the listed public holidays.
Gift Shop is open 10:30 am – 3:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday
Admission is free year-round, except during special events and programs.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required for tours inside exhibit buildings. If fully vaccinated, masks are not required outdoors.

History Park Walking Tour
A museum guide will lead you through History Park, discussing the historical and architectural background of each building. For some of the more important buildings, the famous people associated with them will be highlighted!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Tours will be limited to 10 people.
- Masks must be worn and social distancing will be enforced.
- No money will exchange hands during the tour; attendees must either bring their confirmation printout or show confirmation on their phone.
The tour begins in front of the Trolley Barn. Attendees should use the Phelan Road entrance.
What’s Old is New: Outdoor Self-Guided Exhibit Tour
What’s Old is New: Sustainable Design Solutions of Everyday Products is an outdoor exhibit tour at History Park that showcases student projects from a sustainable design course taught by Professor Kohar Scott at San Jose State University. Visitors will get to see how HSJ’s collection inspired SJSU students to leverage AI technology to reimagine product solutions that are more environmentally friendly. The outdoor exhibit will be available for viewing from March 5th, 2021 through August 6th, 2021.
