
History Park is located at the south end of Kelley Park at the corner of Senter Road and Phelan Avenue. Through 32 original and reproduction homes, businesses, and landmarks, History Park reveals Santa Clara Valley’s past. Complete with paved streets, running trolleys, and an old-fashioned ice cream shop, this 14-acre site offers the charm and ambiance of times gone by.

As part of the Blue Star Museums Program, from Armed Forces Day, May 21, 2022, through Labor Day, September 5, 2022, all military personnel and their families get free admission to History San José-sponsored events.
Admission: Admission is free year-round, except during special events and programs.

Tours & Public Programs
History Park Tour: Wednesdays & Fridays 1:00 pm
Today Santa Clara Valley is the global center for high technology and innovation. San José, however, has been at the forefront of social and economic change since the 1860s. The tour offers visitors the opportunity to explore the grounds of History Park and learn about the ways in which people worked and lived in San José from 1850 to 1970. Through this tour, visitors discover how people utilized the valley’s resources to reshape their environment and transform the region into a global innovation center.
History San José also offers programming that enriches the region’s cultural heritage. Programs include everything from public lectures, workshops, cultural festivals, docent-led tours, and an array of programs for the general public.
