San Jose, California – August 21, 2014. Are you looking for the largest annual antique auto show in the West? Look no further – come out to History Park Saturday, September 14 from 11am to 4pm to see hundreds of antique cars, bicycles, and motorcycles from the late 1800s to 1945.
“We can’t wait to host another amazing Antique Autos event at History Park this year,” said Alida Bray, President and CEO of History San José. “Seeing the beautiful cars and costumes set against the backdrop of our historic buildings is truly a treat! And there is so much for young and old alike to enjoy!”
Presented each year by the Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club and History San Jose, steam powered autos will be the featured auto this year. Kids and families will especially enjoy building and racing their own race cars.
In addition, the historic trolley will be running; you can see demonstrations at the Print Shop; visit the Fruit Barn, Umbarger House and One Room School House; and enjoy two exhibits: Shirlie Montgomery: Picturing San José Since 1938 and brand new exhibit Silicon Valley Bikes! Passion, Innovation & Politics Since 1880.
Peggy Sue’s will offer food for sale, as well as O’Brien’s Candy Store & Ice Cream Parlor. Admission is free for HSJ members and children 2 and under. $5 for all others.
