To commemorate Women’s History Month and the opening of the Her Side of the Story exhibit in the Arbuckle Gallery at History Park, author Linda Ulleseit will talk about her book Under the Almond Trees that profiles three of her ancestors who were Northern California women (the first having arrived in San Francisco via the Isthmus in 1851). The talk takes place in the upstairs of the Empire Firehouse at History Park.
Free to HSJ members; $5 general admission.
About the Author
Linda Ulleseit is a San Jose native, recently retired from teaching elementary school in Evergreen School District, and a member of the Paper Lantern Writers author collective. Her novel, UNDER THE ALMOND TREES, is set in pioneer California and follows the lives of three women with unusual dreams for the times. All three women lived in Northern California and are related to the author.
