Hands-On History Days: Happy Birthday San Jose!

November 18 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

After being postponed due to poor air quality from recent fires, Happy Birthday San José is back on!

Celebrate San José’s 240th Birthday at its oldest home – the Peralta Adobe! Explore inside the adobe and enjoy a variety of hands-on activities. Try your hand at bull roping, make a leather bracelet with saddle maker & blacksmith John Grafton, build your own corn husk doll, and more!

Take in performances from the Los Lupeños de San José dancers and Cisco Jim – the Singing Cowboy. Then pop across the street for a family friendly tour of the historic Fallon House that includes birthday games in the parlor! And top it all off with a slice of birthday cake!

Special thanks to our event sponsors:
San Pedro Square Market, Council member Donald Rocha, and Mayor Sam Liccardo

Cost:
Activity tickets: $1/ticket (FREE to HSJ Members)
