Del Monte Plant #3, c. 1980

This photograph was taken from the West San Carlos Street bridge over the Southern Pacific railroad tracks. In the foreground is Warehouse #2, built in 1932, which housed the can labeling machines. Sections of this building with the distinctive diamond pattern can be seen today in remnants installed in the Monte Vista community.
